We are the Shadlow family. We are competitive wood choppers; Michael being the third generation to do so in his family and Michael’s sons being fourth generation. We travel all over this great country competing.

We started in the firewood industry in the early 2000’s as a small family business called MJ Rural Services. In 2021 we bought another family run firewood business that started in 1976. Today the collective businesses are known as Mr Firewood.  

We sell only premium local hardwoods such as ironbark, bluegum, stringy bark, yellowbox and greybox, etc.

Open 7 days a week from March through September, and always available for deliveries.

We have wood sizes to suit all fire situations, indoors and out. From kindling and wood for your BBQ, pizza oven and pot belly stove, through to loaf of bread sized pieces for the standard combustion heaters or open fires.
